An 80 year old woman named Otilia Martinez fought off two robbers by throwing mangoes at them. Both Eduardo Torres-Lopez and Jesse DosSantos attempted to rob a small family-owned market store in New Bedford, MA. They entered the store, grabbed $500 and tried to escape but Otilia slowed them down by throwing mangoes at them. The suspects were captured immediately after the robbery. During which, Otilia was pistol whipped on the head and refused any form of medical treatment.
