Recently I attempted to make a video in hopes of finding someone who could become a potential YouTube business partner and friend. Which basically means someone that I could work with currently and help each other expand and grow. Develop bigger followings on the web, and develop new friendships in this massive world of YouTube. After just a short-time of the video being “live” it was brought to my attention that maybe now is not the time or the place to do this. With a micro following of only 140 subscribers on YouTube, it makes sense that I would not receive many responses to my request. I have decided to suspend this adventure until some point in the coming future.
YouTube is a land-scape that none can predict. Over the past three months I have slowly built up to the point im at now. I earned the minute amount of followers that I currently have with over 100 videos I crafted. I knew this was the hill I had to climb. I knew that it would take countless hours of work to build a foundation for my future on YouTube. I could potentially spend the next coming year grinding my way up to a few-thousand subscribers. Or, I could have someone with a much bigger following than mine find my videos one day. I could have one person recommend a video on Twitter or in their comments and my whole world could flip upside down. There is on YouTuber that serves as a great example. Shay Carl. He used to make “rant” videos years back, he had a minute following such as myself. But he was discovered by Phil DeFranco who receives around 1.5 million views a DAY at this point. Phil recommended Shay, and where is Shay at now? He moved to Los Angeles to continue his YouTube career and has 1 million subscribers. So as you can see, YouTube is unpredictable, the only thing to do is continue what I do at this point in time. I will continue to push each-and-every video. I will continue networking with other YouTubers and try to make the best product I potentially can.
