My review of the iPhone 5 by Apple and if it’s still worth purchasing the device or not.
Now personally, I’ve been an Android fan/user for 3+ years but I decided to just take the plunge further myself into the Apple ecosystem. Now I’ve used MacBook Pros and iPads over the years so I’m not necessarily foreign to the realm of Apple. I’ve just never relied on an iPhone to be my every day-all day device.
Anyways, its been a month since my original purchase of the iPhone 5 and I definitely love the device. I had originally purchased a case for the phone but decided I liked the look and feel of the “naked” iPhone far more. The phone is designed to look sexy and operate perfectly in just one hand. Now there are moments I wish I had gone with something like the Galaxy S4 just because I used Android for so long and not mention, I love larger screens on my devices.
Overall I can’t complain about the iPhone 5 as it operates far more fluidly than any phone I’ve had in the past and it’s just too sexy to get mad at.

The worst feature on the iPhone 5 is one that has caused many people to send the wrong text messages to one another and it’s a very simple fix on Apple’s part.

The iPhone 5 is definitely a great device and regardless of your preference with smartphones, you can’t deny that it is a killer phone. But having switched to a new iPhone 5 after spending 3 years on Android devices, there’s one big annoyance I have come across. It really stems down to just two root problems and both of which reside within the ‘Messages’ app or native texting app on all iPhones. The fix to this problem is a very simple one on Apple’s part unless you want to jailbreak your phone but in that case you may as well just get an Android instead.
The primary issue has to do with many iPhone users sending the wrong text message to people. I never encountered this issue with my previous Android phone and I’ve figured out the reason why. It’s because the iPhone does not feature your contact’s photo in the Messages app itself. Sure in your contacts book it shows all of the photos from Facebook or that were assigned directly to the contact. But when you feel like messaging someone you better hope for the best because you’re essentially playing Russian roulette with your relationships. As I said before, it’s a very simple fix on Apple’s part but we likely wont see this potential change until the new-revamped iOS 7 is released later this year.
My other-small gripe is that I’ve never encountered more texting problems than I have until recently. Either I’ve gotten careless with my texting or Apple’s auto-correct is atrocious and I’m going with the latter of the two.
Apple announced a 128GB model of the iPad and it will be released on February 5, 2013. Am I the only one that sees no use for this much data on a tablet?

Trying a new approach to my videos this week. Everything will be tech related!
Today on Tech In A Sec we talk about the move Minority Report and it becoming a reality with new technologies on the way. Mainly Huawei’s new 3D gesture tracking technology that they’re spending a massive amount on their budget on for their next generation of smartphones and tablets.
Apparently Huawei has partnered with CERN, the people responsible for the Large Hadron Collider. Through this partnership, CERN has gathered 15 Petabytes of physics information to make their next phones the best possible.

Welcome to Tech In A Sec! This is the show where I take some of the latest technology based stories and share them with you! You can expect to see everything from Smartphone news to Sci Fi technology becoming a reality.
Today I discuss CERN, the group in charge of the Large Hadron Collider. Their mission is to slam atoms together near the speed of light in the largest man-made machine ever built in order to find something being called the “God Particle.” Scientists state this particle shortly existed immediately following the creation of our universe and the discovery of these particles could help lead to amazing technological advances in the human race.
The project was slated for completion around December of this year but it seems things are coming along much better than perviously imagined and it’s possible we could find the particles as early as this Summer.

I have always had a fairly strong obsession with technology. A strong connection with it I guess you could say. I like to research all new forms of technology and I’m enthralled with seeing stuff that was previously considered sci-fi, become a reality.
So after last week’s episode of Cody Know’s, I was compelled to create a UFO segment after the Alien Life show. We discuss the question; are alien UFO’s real? As well we go over if the our current technology is from reverse engineering alien technology or if it derived form our own human-ingenuity.
Our cell-phones are a combination of several technologies. We took computers, cameras, GPS systems, phones, and game consoles and combined them all into one. Personally, I would rather have our currently technology than a flying car any day. We have made our lives and difficult tasks much easier to accomplish.
Current phones boast up to dual-core 1GHz processors, giving you blazingly fast speeds. If you look at how fast technology is currently expanding, one can only imagine the future of our phones. Say five-years from now, what will our phones be like? In my opinion, we will start seeing phones shy away from hand-held devices. Potentially we could see phones integrated into wrist-wear. Something like the ‘Omni-Tool’ seen in the Mass Effect series. As well, it wouldn’t surprise me if phones became part of our clothing or even our glasses.
But how powerful will these devices be? How fast technology is advancing, one could assume our current day computers will be outperformed by our phones in two-to-three years. How about our gaming consoles like the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3? It’s already been said these consoles are outdated and phones are slowly taking over the gaming market. But just how fast are the graphical powers of our phones expanding? By five-years from now, I think it’s safe to say something like your little iPhone or Android device would destroy consoles.
Many years from now its up in the air as to what direction cell-phones will be headed. It could all be inserted within our bodies with integrated computer chips. But that’s a massively wild assumption. People once assumed we would have flying cars by now. I think each generation just sees the future in their own unique way.
